The 4th of July … Independence Day

The 4th of July … Independence Day

What does it mean?

Independence Day represents a historical battle… for those who fought in the American Civil War they set a great example of dedication and the ultimate sacrifice. It was a flaming emotional division that erupted into a bloody war.

In the end over 600,000 warriors lost their lives. As a nation we are grateful for the blessings that God has bestowed upon us. The ability to move forward without fear and focus in an unwavering manner without distraction. It is within this realm I find freedom to enjoy life. Whether its a physical duty or a mental duty to reason within oneself to act upon…”We the people” have the right to express the motives of writing!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy first day of summer!

Today is the first day of summer. Happy first day of summer! What is on your reading list?

My reading habits do not change just because its summer. I have to balance my time between writing my manuscript, a non-fiction, and catching up with the downloads on my eBook reader. I will visit the library to see what genre of fiction or non-fiction that will catch my eye. If not I will re-read Cormac McCarthy’s book The Road a novel, why? It is one of my favorite books to read. Moreover, McCarthy is a powerful writer that brings intensity within his language. Plus, I still enjoy holding a book in my hands.
